2023
2023
Bubbles, and crying over burritos.
Slowly waking.
Not quite ready to shed the warm comforter of the holidays, the permission to wear pajamas festively and without shame, to City Market at noon.
Not quite ready to fill the blank white spaces of the clean new calendar above my desk.
But tip-toeing into the productive new frontier.
A summer camp here.
Plane tickets to someplace new when the drear of frosty mornings has worn its welcome plain thin.
An eye doctor appointment there.
Braces for the teens (goodbye to the money.)
Fate will in time reveal the tone of the months ahead.
A stack of twelve at the end, we’ll tearfully bid adieu or kick in the ass out the door.
For now she’s a wonder.
